In our family business “Neuhold-Steiraoel” the key to success lies in the very well selected quality of our products. To achieve an excellent result in the production of pumpkin seed oil only purest raw materials are used. That are our Resources. For this the pumpkin seeds are sown in early May. After only two weeks the two-leaved seedlings sprout out of the ground. In June/July the fields are filled with yellow glowing pumpkin flowers and finally matured in yellow-green pumpkins in August.
Under optimal conditions you can harvest up to 10.000 pumpkins on one hectare. That’s equivalent to between 400 and 900 kilograms of pumpkin seeds.
For the “Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil” only the seeds of the Styrian oil pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo var. Styriaca) are used. This pumpkin growes particularly well in Southern Styria.
